How We Advocate for You

We need your support for a unified voice in Austin.
Will you join us?

The Utility Contractors Association of Texas (UCATX) Government Affairs program works to expand opportunities in utility infrastructure construction and reduce the cost of doing business across Texas. Through credible, informed advocacy at the local and state levels, UCATX ensures that legislators and regulators understand how public policy decisions affect utility contractors, infrastructure development, and essential service delivery. UCATX actively engages its members in the governmental affairs process, creating a strong, unified, and respected voice for the utility construction industry in policy and regulatory discussions.

The UCATX Political Action Committee (PAC) collects voluntary contributions from concerned utility contractors and associate members and service provider members for use in making political contributions to candidates running for state and local political positions. This effort is essential and necessary to ensure that the interests of our industry are represented.

Our Governmental Affairs Committee meets the last Tuesday of every month to discuss current legislative concerns in order to advocate on a local and state level for the utility construction industry.
